Cookie policy
What DockLabel stores in your browser, and how to change it. The short version: no cookies, one entry that remembers your analytics answer, and analytics storage only if you allowed it.
Effective October 11, 2026.
Everything this site stores, named
This site sets no cookies at all. It uses your browser's local storage, which works much like a cookie but is never sent to a server with your requests. This is the complete list. If something is not on it, we do not store it.
site_consent. Records your answer to the analytics notice, the version of this policy you answered under, and when. Strictly necessary: it exists only so we can honor your answer and stop asking on every page. It is written only when you answer the notice.- Entries beginning
ph_, only if you allowed analytics. Written by PostHog: an anonymous identifier and session state, used to count page views. Nothing is written until you allow analytics, and turning it off removes them. PostHog may also write an entry beginning__ph_opt_in_out_to record its own on or off state, which is removed the same way.
What analytics collects, if you allow it
PostHog counts which pages are viewed and when the Copy ZPL, Download and waitlist buttons are pressed. The copy and download events carry the printer resolution, the number of labels generated and which tab was open, and nothing else. The shipment itself is not collected: no company names, addresses, PO numbers, prefixes, serial numbers, SSCCs, CSV rows or ZPL.
There is no session recording, no automatic capture of clicks or typed values, no heatmap and no advertising tracker. The analytics script itself is not downloaded unless you allow it.
How we ask
You are asked once, on your first visit, wherever you are in the world. Allowing and refusing are one click each and nothing is ticked in advance. The notice does not block the page, and refusing changes nothing about how the tools work.
A permission is relied on for about 6 months and then we ask again. A refusal does not expire: if you said no, the passing of time does not turn analytics on.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, analytics stays off and the notice is not shown. The signal takes precedence over an earlier permission for as long as your browser keeps sending it. We apply this to every visitor.
Changing your mind
"Cookie preferences" in the footer of every page reopens the notice. Choosing "Decline" there stops analytics at once and removes PostHog's entries from your browser.
The answer lives in your browser, so it is set separately on each device and browser you use, and clearing your site data clears it. Your browser's own controls for site data work too.
When this page changes
Anything new that is stored on your device, and any new analytics provider, is described here before it is switched on, and the effective date at the top is revised. A change to what analytics covers also raises the policy version stored with your answer, so you are asked again instead of an old answer being stretched to cover something new.
