Privacy policy
What DockLabel collects, what it never sees, and who else is involved. Shipment data you type into the generator stays in your browser.
Effective October 11, 2026.
Who this covers
DockLabel is operated by Sales Xceleration Strategies LLC, a Colorado limited liability company, and that company is the controller of the personal information described here. This policy covers this website, including the label generator and the check digit calculator. You can reach us about anything on this page at support@docklabel.com.
The short version: what you type into the label generator stays in your browser. We collect an email address only if you join the waitlist, and we count page views only if you allow it. We do not sell personal information and we run no advertising.
What stays in your browser
The label generator, the CSV batch tab, the label preview and the check digit calculator all run on your device. Company names, addresses, PO numbers, carrier names, carton counts, your GS1 Company Prefix, serial numbers, SSCCs, CSV rows and the ZPL they produce are never sent to us or to anyone else. A CSV file you load is read by your browser and is not uploaded.
We cannot see this data, so we cannot store it, share it or lose it. It is also not saved between visits: reloading the page clears the form.
What we collect
There are three things, and each is listed in full.
- Waitlist email address. If you fill in the waitlist form and press the button, the email address you typed is sent to our server and stored with our email provider so we can tell you when batch runs and SSCC serial tracking launch. That is the only thing the form sends. Nothing from the label generator goes with it.
- Page views and three button events, only if you allow analytics. If you choose "Accept" on the notice, PostHog records which pages of this site are viewed, and records when the Copy ZPL button, the Download button or the waitlist button is pressed. The copy and download events carry three facts: the printer resolution (203 or 300 dpi), how many labels were generated, and which tab was open. The waitlist event carries nothing, and in particular not your email address. Apart from that label count, no event carries anything from the generator. Page addresses are sent without their query string or fragment.
- Server logs. Like any website, the servers that deliver these pages receive your IP address, your browser type and the page requested, and our hosting provider keeps short-lived logs of them for security and debugging. When you submit the waitlist form, your IP address is also used for a few minutes, in memory only, to limit repeated submissions. It is not stored with your email address.
What analytics does not do
Nothing from PostHog loads until you allow it. If you decline, or never answer, no analytics script is downloaded and nothing is stored for it.
Where you do allow it, these are switched off in our code: session recording, automatic capture of clicks and typed values, capture of element text, heatmaps, dead click and rage click capture, performance and error capture, and surveys. We do not identify you: there is no account, and analytics is never given your email address.
Who processes it for us
We use three service providers. Each handles data only to provide its service to us.
- Vercel hosts the site and receives the server logs described above.
- Resend stores the waitlist email addresses and will send the launch email.
- PostHog receives the page views and button events, only from visitors who allowed analytics. It also receives the IP address of the browser sending them, as any web service does.
Cookies and browser storage
This site sets no cookies. It uses your browser's local storage for two things: to remember your answer to the analytics notice, and, only if you allowed analytics, for PostHog's anonymous identifier. The cookie policy names each entry and how to remove it.
Your choices
You can change your analytics answer at any time with "Cookie preferences" in the footer of every page. Turning analytics off stops it at once and removes what it stored in your browser.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal of analytics and do not ask you to confirm, wherever you are.
To be removed from the waitlist, or to ask what we hold about you, to correct it or to have it deleted, email support@docklabel.com. We act on these requests regardless of where you live.
How long we keep it
Waitlist email addresses are kept until the features launch and you have been told, or until you ask to be removed, whichever comes first. Analytics events are kept in PostHog under its standard retention. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect, how we use it or who processes it, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect. A change to what analytics covers also asks for your answer again.
